Bayside Sportfishing operates customized and guided fishing charters in Port Phillip Bays South East region targeting fish species solely using a wide range of soft plastic and hard body lures.
Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, our aim is to educate and provide guidance on effective lure fishing techniques.
Our Boat
Our boat is a 2021 4.8 metre Polycraft Brumby centre console, surveyed to carry 4 passengers.
There is ample space onboard enabling full access to the front casting deck and rear/side cockpit area.
Powered by a 80hp Honda 4 stroke outboard, we will get you to the fishing spots safely and efficiently.
At the pointy end we have a Minn Kota Terrova bow mounted electric motor that will quietly get you to where fish like to hide out.

Your Guide
Creating a unique experience for his clients is Chris’s primary focus, whereby clients with little experience can learn new skills including casting, tying knots or how to work soft plastic or hard body lures. On the flip side, if you are a seasoned angler we can just put you on the spot and just let you do what you do best.
Chris is fully qualified for your safety and holds the following qualifications:

Charter Options
We offer a 4-hour fishing charter taking an educational approach to provide you with the how and where to target snapper, salmon, trevally by using a wide variety of soft plastic and hard body lures.
Whether you’re an experienced or novice angler we look to teach the basics with the view to improve your current ability or to simply introduce you to one of the most exciting and rewarding forms of fishing.

FISHING CHARTER (4HRS)
These sessions are designed to teach you the fundamental skills of using soft plastic and hard body lures. In just a 2-hour session out on the water with our guide, you'll learn everything you need to know to confidently set up and use lures on your next fishing trip.

• Knots and Jig head selection
• Soft plastic and Hard body lure selections
• Cast and retrieval techniques
